Anthony Costanzo HeadshotA highly skilled performer, Anthony began his song, dance and theatre training as a youngster at the Judy Young Talent School. He has since trained in voice with Tim Smith, Vivienne Hamilton, David Willis and at Monash University, and now teaches students himself. He completed the full-time Performing Arts and Dance course at Dance World 301 in 2000, and is also a gifted musician having studied in the Bachelor of Music and Performing Arts at Monash University, The Clayton & Yamaha Music College, The Pianoforte Music College and with Eleyane Laussade.

He won the 1995 Song Contest for the “Year of Tolerance” where he featured on the compilation CD, was placed in the top 3% of Australian song writers by ASA & APRA in 2001, won the Sony VIP Award two years running and was recently a short-listed finalist for the prestigious “2002 Pratt Prize” for his new musical “John & Sarah” that he wrote with Maryanne McCormack. He is currently re composing the music for The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, which will open in Queensland and conclude it's tour throughout the rest of Australia later on in the year and into 2004. Anthony also recently returned from the States working as lead singer and vocal director for Royal Caribbean International.

Anthony's show credits include roles in the recent professional seasons of "We Will Rock You", "Cats - World Tour", “Hair”, “The Witches of Eastwick”, “The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber” that toured China, Production Company’s “Mack & Mabel” and “How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying”, Pinocchia in "Pinocchio", lead vocalist in Walt Disney’s “World Friendship Day” and "Carols In the Domain" in Sydney, the role of Dracula at “Draculas” Theatre Restaurant, the principal role in the Australian premiere of “Once On This Island”, the Australian premiere of “Working” and Danny Zucco in “Grease” at Moomba. He also performed professionally for XSYSTEMS in Melbourne & Singapore and toured as the lead vocalist & resident vocal director on the Royal Caribbean International on the USA West Coast. Earlier credits include “Pacific Overtures”, Captain Von Trap in “The Sound of Music”, The Teen Angel in “Grease”, Pilate and Annas in “Jesus Christ Superstar” and King Pharaoh in “Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat”.

Renowned for his cabaret work, Anthony was the lead male vocalist and dancer in the “Ricarp” cabaret show at Taiwan’s Adventure Theme Park, performed in the cabaret “Sunday” throughout Victoria, performed in "Seriously" at Melbourne's Chapel off Chapel, performed in "A Night in the Toy Store" at Theatre Works which he wrote & composed himself, performed in "Costanzo in concert" at The Butterfly Club, performed in a collaboration with MaryAnne McCormack called "John & Sarah" at chapel Off Chapel and performs regularly at South Yarra’s “Bennigans”, “Falkner Club” and Melbourne’s “Crown Casino”. He sang the National Anthem on National TV in 2000 for the NBL and was also a backing vocalist for Vicka & Linda for The Good Friday Appeal in 2000. Anthony has also appeared in several cabarets with Tony Bones Entertainment.
