Emma holds a Bachelor of Arts (Drama) from Monash University, as well as having studied acting at the National Theatre Drama School in St Kilda. She has trained with industry professionals such as Colette Mann (Priscilla, Queen of the Desert), Petra Kalive (Underbelly), Matthew Frank, Vicky Jacobs, Todd Schroeder (Universal Studios), Matt Emond, Greg Stone (MTC) and Anthony Crowley. In the last few years Emma has been offered scholarships to study abroad, both in acting and musical theatre, but chose to stay and try her hand at the Melbourne theatre scene. Since then, she has performed to critical acclaim in Anthony Crowley’s one woman musical ‘The Journey Girl’ at 45 Downstairs, Tick, Tick…Boom! (Susan), Children of Eden (Eve), Disco Inferno (Jane), The Dreamer Examines his Pillow (National Theatre), and most recently in Melbourne Musicals’ Premiere production of ‘You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown’ as the formidable Lucy Van Pelt.
TV credits include: The Pacific (produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks), Uncle Toby’s National Campaign, Our Melbourne, Behind the Scenes of Charlie Brown, and the short film Trash Week. Emma has recently been accepted into the Industry Dance Course, run by Robert Sturrock at The Space for 2009. When not performing, Emma also teaches singing, flute, piano, clarinet and saxophone both privately and at several schools around Melbourne.
