Gerard is a recent graduate of the "Bachelor of Dramatic Art" (Acting) course at the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). In his youth Gerard studied with
the Victorian Youth Theatre, The Young Australian Broadway
Chorus and was a "Top CAT" nominee in Drama in Year
12. He then went on to complete a "Bachelor of Performing Arts"
at Monash University.
He has studied singing under Roger Lemke, Peter Nichols and Kristen Kean, and dance through Creation
School of Dance. Several show credits have followed including
the lead roles of The King in "The King & I",
Nick in "FAME The Musical", and roles in "Eurobeat - The Eurovision Musical" at the 2004 Melbourne International Comedy Festival,
Jon English's new musical "Paris" in it's world premiere season at the National Theatre, "Avenue Who?", "Les
Miserables", "South Pacific", "A Funny
Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum", "A Chorus
Line", "Company" and "The White Rose"
which toured to Singapore. In theatre he has performed in productions of "Three Sisters" by Chekov, "Anna Karenina" by Tolstoy, "As You Like It" by Shakespeare, "Saved" by Edward Bond, and "The Grace of Mary Traverse" by Timberlake Wertenbaker. He also recently performed his own one man cabaret at Capers, Melbourne called "Frankston - The Musical".
Gerard has toured to Hong Kong with Tony Bones Entertainment's "Witches, Wizards & Tails of Lizards" where he thrilled thousands of shopping centre audience members with his role of Wizard Powers. Performances have followed at Melbourne's Rippon Lea Estate as Cowboy McCoy and Huggles, The Lovable Huggable Dancing Bear, and also performing Pixie Pong at Como House. Gerard is a versatile performer
whose varied talents make him a true credit to Tony Bones
Entertainment.
