About the author:

Tohby Riddle Head Shot Tohby Riddle is an author, illustrator, cartoonist and designer (and sometime editor) based in Sydney, Australia.

His early years were spent at a Steiner school where a love of making things and making things up (mainly with drawings and words) flourished. After high school, Tohby went to Sydney College of the Arts where he majored in 'painting' and 'average guitar playing'. After graduating he worked in a number of jobs that usually involved carrying things larger than himself. All the while he was unsure what kind of art he wanted to make. He loved illustrated books and cartoons, but it never occurred to him that he could create such things. One night a friend said, "Let's make a children's story!" They did, and it was not very good, but it gave Tohby ideas … more on Tohby Riddle ...

Reviews for the play:

Tasman District School, Nubeena, TAS

"Hi Tony, Thanks for sending these (lesson plans) to me as we'll use them for follow up activities. The performance was great.  The children and staff really enjoyed it and you could see that the variety of entertainment really engaged the children and they were all eager to participate and interact with the excellent performers, Zoe and Michael."

Berwick Lodge Primary School, Berwick, VIC

"Hi Tony. Many Thanks for the great day. The kids loved it!.... Both performers were excellent and enthusiastic... Good to see the performers got the children and teachers involved out of the audience."

St Mary's School, Alexandra, VIC

"The actors retold the story accurately, as well as adding extra elements to add interest. The actors also engaged the audience by asking for volunteers from the audience."
